About the Event

"Can I Help?"

Denny Lankford recently retired from McConkey Benefits & Financial Services where he served as its President and founding partner when the company was established in 2001. His career spans over 48 years in the insurance industry. He is fully aware that one of the most important keys to a successful career in sales is to understand that people do business with those that demonstrate how much you care and to embrace the concept of values-based selling.

Some of his industry achievements include receiving the Certified Life Underwriter and Chartered Financial Consultant designations in 1989 and is a life member of the Million Dollar Round Table.

Denny was born in Augusta, Georgia where his father was stationed at Fort Gordon while serving in the army and may be the tie to his love for the game of golf which led him to West Chester University where he played four seasons and was inducted into the West Chester Hall of Fame in 2018.  In addition to enjoying time on the course, he highly values the time spent with his fellow CBMC members and the activities,  connection points and fellowship that the organization promotes for businessmen and professionals.

As he transitions from full time employment, his goals have changed from survival, to success, to significance and intends to fill his time with a more dedicated, purpose driven role in influencing others for the kingdom.

One of his most recent once in a lifetime experiences that is having a great impact on the kingdom is his involvement with the golf movie titled "The Mulligan". The movie is about second chances, mending broken relationships and forgiveness and was released in April of 2022. The movie is based off a book written by his great friend and former PGA tour player Wally Armstrong.  Wally was the very first speaker at a local CBMC golf outing over 30 years ago and it is true that Denny can say he was in the movie.
